All I’m asking from you guys in 5 mins to read this post, probably less and for you mouse to move over and click the like button, only if you support the cause I’m about to post and will send your love and positivity. That is all I’m asking from you.
His name is Lucas, and he is 7 years old. He is my best friends little brother and is loved by many. And we are just asking for a little more love. Today, little 7 year old Lucas was hospitalized. After a few hours of humming and hawing at why little Lucas wasn’t feeling well they discovered the reason for his sickness. After the return of a blood scan, Lucas was diagnosed with Leukemia, T-Cell Leukemia.
T-Cell Leukemia is a cancer that barries itself in white blood cells. Blood cells travel through blood. Blood travels through the body. These white blood cells are the ones that attack infections and cancers, but the cancer got to them first. The white blood cells come from the bone marrow in the bones, so that is the home to this leukemia. Now the reason why white blood cells are now bad is because once leukemia cells are created, they grow instead of die, and they recreate and spread rapidly.
Leukemia is deathly, from reported cases at least half of the cases don’t make it, but the other half will.I don’t know about you, but half isn’t good enough.
7 year old Lucas thinks he just has a bad cold. No matter how many times his situation has been explained, he just doesn’t understand.Lucas will have to go through 1-3 years of chemotherapy, a bone marrow transplant and radiation therapy to cure his leukemia.
The point of this post is to raise awareness that Leukemia is out there, and more than half of the reported cases first were undetected and treatment may be too late in some cases. Here is your awareness.
